In the Last Stretch Of Summer & Mob Week
Summer is just about wrapping up. I feel like I haven't had much of one at all though for several reasons. At the beginning, as usual, I had a plan to make this the 'Best Summer Ever', and it had started out pretty good. I also made Varsity softball as well. But the day of my birthday I started to feel kind of sick, and it rapidly got worse until I ended up in the ER with a high temperature a few days later, diagnosed with a case of Strep Throat and Mononucleosis. I can't ever remember feeling so sick, even compared to the time when I caught H1N1 when it had been going around. That lasted about a week, luckily for me, but I wasn't allowed to play softball for a month. When I was finally able to play, there was only two weeks of the season left over, and I didn't get to do much. We didn't get to take a vacation this year either. So really, this summer was kind of a bust. However, at least we got a break, and I am still not ready to go back. We had an orientation two days ago about the 1:1 initiative that our school is doing, which is where every student receives a laptop to take back and forth throughout the year. It was pretty boring, and was pretty much everything I already knew because we had used ChromeBooks last year in the classrooms. Anyways, all it did was show me that I wasn't ready to go back because the idiots were still there, and driving me crazy. It times like this where I can't wait for college, although I am sure that there are a fair share of idiots there too, like anywhere. The thing is, I don't know if I just matured even more over the summer, or I am still annoyed at people from the end of the year. After all, you can only spend so many months with the same people without going insane. On a lighter note (I guessXD) I'm watching Mob Week on AMC all week in between the Olympics (totally hooked) mostly because my Dad is but it's pretty good. So forget Shark Week! ;D Just Fogettaboutit :)
